The job

Box-in-a-box, inside a working plant.

ZeptoMetrix is a life-sciences company that makes materials used in medical testing. Those materials have to be made, stored and shipped at exactly the right temperature. Their plant in Franklin, Massachusetts needed more cold storage, and the temperature had to be right every time.

RSNE built a cooler and a freezer inside the plant while it kept running — box-in-a-box. The cooler is 50 feet long. The freezer floor is fully insulated, set behind a raised, sealed curb at the doorway. Each room has an RSNE sliding door, built in our Lakeville shop. Strip curtains hang behind the doors, and a diamond-plate ramp keeps pallet jacks rolling over the threshold.

We installed the panels, doors, ramp, trim and seals in one continuous run, so the plant could get back to work. An RSNE crew lead ran the job, site visit to final trim. Completed in 2025.
