The job
A bigger building. Same craft.
A national grocery retailer needed more cold storage space. It was a major expansion to one of its regional distribution centers — the kind of building that keeps hundreds of store shelves stocked. The job was in western Pennsylvania. The panel crew came from Lakeville, Massachusetts.
A job this size doesn’t leave room for a bad seam. Panel runs stretch for hundreds of feet, with dock doors working right next door the whole time we were building. Every inch of the room has to hold the cold the same way. A small leak in a 400 sq ft room is a problem. At 48,000 sq ft, that same flaw, repeated over far more seam, is a much bigger one.
The project also included a glycol radiant floor under the freezer slab: warm glycol run through tubing in the floor, so the ground under a freezer never freezes and heaves. Another contractor built that one. On other jobs we help design and build heated floor systems.
It’s the same craft we bring to a restaurant walk-in — panels, doors, seals — applied to one of the biggest boxes we’ve ever built. Even the thirteen doors people walk through are RSNE custom — built in our Lakeville shop and trucked to Pennsylvania with the panels. An RSNE crew lead ran the job, site visit to final trim. Completed in 2026.
